ABOUT US
Albaik was founded in 1974 in Jeddah by the visionary Palestinian-Saudi entrepreneur Shakour Abu Ghazalah. Recognizing the demand for high-quality yet affordable food, Shakour transformed an old warehouse into the first-ever pressure-fried chicken restaurant in Saudi Arabia. This pioneering restaurant, located on Old Airport Road in Jeddah, quickly gained attention by offering delicious meals with a unique take on broasted chicken—a concept first introduced by Albaik in the Kingdom. By 1986, Albaik was officially registered as a trademark, further solidifying its legacy.
As a food expert and seasoned blogger with years of experience exploring the fast-food scene, I’ve personally seen how Albaik has revolutionized the fast-food industry in the region. Its secret? Not just the food, but the clean and inviting environment, fast service, and courteous staff that make every visit memorable. Albaik’s signature fried chicken with garlic sauce continues to be a favorite, captivating the hearts of customers for over 50 years.
Albaik’s growth is a testament to its unwavering commitment to quality. From its humble beginnings in Jeddah, Albaik has expanded across Saudi Arabia, reaching major cities like Makkah, Madinah, and beyond, into the UAE and Bahrain. It’s more than a restaurant; it’s a fast-food sensation that continues to thrive.
